SLEMCO is asking its customers throughout Acadiana “to do their part” to conserve energy during the next several days as frigid conditions continue to grip the area.

The extreme cold temperatures result in a huge increase in electrical usage. This increased electrical consumption puts a serious burden on the electrical grid in Acadiana.
 
Conserving now will ease the pressure on the grid and it will surely reduce your next month’s electric bill.
